The Training Course, that took place in Gdynia from 18th to 25th of May, was attended by people working with youth and cooperating with project partners. During the activity they worked with elearning course, exchanged their experiences and good practices, created rules and guidelines for sustainable busieness, and also visited several local institutions and organizations. The exchange of experiences between participants allowed them to go beyond the usual frameworks and patterns of action and inspire each other for pro-environmental activities in their local institutions.
During the Training Course participants worked on rules and guidelines for sustainable business in accordance with 17 Sustainable Development Goals. After discussion and brainstorming session they’ve managed to choose and name 10 principles that young entrepreneurs should implement in their business models and plans. List of rules describing how to create a micro enterprise with application of Sustainable Development Goals: • Respecting diversity by inclusive treatment and gender equality, • Being transparent in actions for compliance, • Promoting and implementing fair trade and good work ethics, • Having a good discipline and being more efficient in order to better meet the established goals, • Using creativity and innovative thinking to solve problems and not generate new ones, • Adopting the ESG and SDG principles at the core of the business mission, vision, values and its strategy, • Creating collaboration, benchmarking and networking between companies for making new alliances and sharing the best practices, • Reducing the amount of waste produced and carbon footprint generated by operating more locally, using the renewable resources and applying circular economy knowledge, • Empowering local initiatives and creating partnerships with local communities, schools and authorities, • Working on public policy to have better community inclusion and environment protection.
