
The aim of the project is to build the organizational capacity of three civil society organizations from the Pomeranian Voivodeship: the Foundation for Supporting Local Development Initiatives (FWIRL), the Institute for Regional Cooperation (IWR), and the Kashubian Sports and Cultural Society (KTSK) by strengthening the capacity of partner organizations through the implementation of planned activities from April 2025 to June 2026.
The “Increasing our potential!” project, no. FEPM.05.21-IZ.00-0072/24, is implemented under the European Funds for Pomerania 2021-2027 program, Priority Axis 5: European Funds for a Socially Strong Pomerania (ESF+), Measure 5.21: Civic Engagement. The project implementer (beneficiary) is the Foundation for Supporting Local Development Initiatives in partnership with the Institute for Regional Cooperation and the Kashubian Sports and Cultural Society.
Target group:
Three partner organizations and their representatives. Participating in the activities will be: representatives of the partner organizations’ boards, representatives of the program councils, individuals employed under employment contracts, individuals employed under civil law contracts, and volunteers (operating under a volunteering agreement). All individuals are permanently associated with the organizations or are involved in specific events/activities.
Project activities:
-Development of a development strategy for partner organizations
-Training for employees and volunteers of partner organizations in soft project management
-Study visit and workshops on career counseling and organizing dual vocational training
-Modernization and creation of partner websites
-Development and promotion of volunteering in partner organizations
-Work observation in Germany in the field of dual vocational training
-Qualified first aid training
-Study visit to non-governmental organizations implementing local volunteer projects for seniors, youth, and people with disabilities
-Training for leaders in leadership in social and youth projects
-Development of a workshop program for youth and seniors in civic education
-Promotion and dissemination of the organization’s activities online, including in social media
Project activities are implemented in accordance with the principle of accessibility for people with disabilities – accessibility standards.
Main results:
- Organizations will receive development strategies, which will facilitate work management and the implementation of subsequent activities within and outside the project.
- Organization representatives identified in the GD will increase their competencies/qualifications, which will allow for better management of the organization and its projects. Organizations will improve their service offerings to local communities and increase their capacity for cooperation at the local and international levels (minimum 33 people).
- A program of workshops on civic education will be created.
- The base of volunteers ready to support the organization’s activities and develop new initiatives will increase.
